Mar 12, 2025 | Press Release

[Nashville, TN], March 12, 2025 Rachel Winokur, chief executive officer of TailorCare, has been named as one of the 2025 Inc. 500 Female Founders. The eighth annual Female Founders list honors 500 women whose innovations and ideas are leading their industries forward. These resilient entrepreneurs expressed grit and drive to collectively attract approximately $9 billion in 2024 revenue and $10.6 billion in funding.

The founders cross all industries and bring with them unique stories of success from each stage of the entrepreneurial journey — from startup to going public, being acquired by big buyers, or spending decades at the helm of an organization.

“Female founders know what struggle is, but they’re also experts of improvisation, adaptability, and creativity. The women featured on this year’s list exemplify these qualities. Through times of uncertainty, their unwavering dedication and steadfast leadership are not only inspiring but vital to driving progress,” said Inc. executive editor Diana Ransom.

Winokur has a distinguished career as an entrepreneur and healthcare leader. Prior to founding TailorCare, she helped launch Bright Health Group, a value-based healthcare company committed to managing population risk. She served as Chief Business Officer before serving as the CEO of NeueHealth, the risk-based primary care delivery, provider enablement, and network management company she created within Bright. She’s also held executive roles at Aetna, where she helped start the health plan’s population health management division, The Carlyle Group, as a healthcare investor, and at Datascope, a public medical device company she helped take private. Her expertise is frequently sought for board roles, and she currently serves as a director at Maven, ERC/Pathlight, and TailorCare, in addition to advising multiple investment firms.

Under Winokur’s leadership, TailorCare achieved remarkable growth and transformation in 2024. The company launched a full-risk model—the first of its kind in musculoskeletal (MSK)—in the first full year of operations, completed the strategic acquisition of RecoveryOne, expanded its team by 76%, formed a Clinical Advisory Board of leading MSK clinicians, and recruited three diverse healthcare leaders to the Board of Directors. In 2024, TailorCare had an NPS of +90 with patients reporting an 85% decrease in pain and 72% increase in function.

“I am honored to be listed alongside so many accomplished and inspiring women,” said Winokur. “This recognition reflects not only my journey but also the collective efforts of the incredible team at TailorCare. I look forward to continuing our work to redefine musculoskeletal care and make a lasting impact in healthcare.”

Winokur, along with the other honorees, will be featured in Inc. magazine’s Female Founders issue, on newsstands March 18, 2025. To see the complete list of honorees, please visit: https://www.inc.com/female-founders
